whenever i try to unscrew a folder or the control panel my computer freezes, i can run programs and applications

Run scandisk.
How - click my computer right click C: then gone click properties, then moved out click tools, then click in a minute on error checking Dont tick any boxes just press Start - if it comes spinal column that it failed later tick bottom box & click Start then click top box & click start.
