I run diagnosis on the fan, and when it set it to glorious, I thought there be an airplane in my house at first. Why do they hold a fan that can move about that fast? You would surmise the fans would single spin that fast if something be on fire on the inside! GOD! what do they call for that high setting for? the computer should never find that hot....

High end winter sport systems need more fan to cool them down so they can perform at crest gaming power.More power a system needs to put out more warmth is generated which requires more fans/water cooling to keep hold of them runnning. Non gaming system dont need larger fan becase there is a great deal less boil to dissapate.

Why is it that my computer be so cheap?
My dell computer have a Pentium 4 processor 3.20GHz, 4G of DDR2 RAM, 260GB Harddrive, 20 in moniter (8ms) and an Nvida 7950Gt(512mb) for 1600 while within are "gaming pcs" with smaller amount RAM, same Harddrive, smaller or no moniter, and an older graphics card for around 2500.

If you thought it was cheap, the simply weakness I can find is that you don't enjoy a dual core, which is the biggest thing you'll own to worry around upgrading with that computer that I can see. Is here any drives included with that computer? What in the order of ports?

Does it own a free upgrade to Vista? That could be something else that lowers the price of computers being sold now.

Do you own any other USB devices connected to your computer? Do you have another computer to try-out the thumb drive on? This is what I would do. If you can get access to another computer, put it contained by, check to see if it is recognized. If it is, probability are there is something wrong next to your computer. In that case, you may want to check the BIOS settings and craft sure that your USB ports are not disabled.
Two possible problems:
1 - Try using a different USB port. On some computers, the USB ports in the front hold too much plastic around them and devices like that don't be in motion in far plenty to work. Try using a USB port in rear.
2 - If you have web drives set-up, it's possible they're conflicting. Right click on My Computer and choose Manage to reassign the drive letter for the pendrive.

My PC have a mind of it's own. Either that or someone is deliberately piss**ng me past its sell-by date. I've recently switched ISP from BT to Pipex. Pipex is horrible and drops connection every 20 mins. I've un-installed Norton totally and turned rotten Windows firewall. I still have timeout errors when trying to connect to Novaworld to play communal operations PC spectator sport. Battle for Middle Earth doesn't work either.
My PC also turned itself stale completely yesterday twice! I am running Windows Media Centre Edition 2005. 3.4 Ghz processor. 1 Gb RAM. I run Lavasoft Adaware & Spybot almost everyday.
Should I just format the disk and do a full reinstall?

XP can install updates newly before shutting down which doesn't interupt you when you are using you laptop, and by doing when doing it as part of the shutdown process, it doesn't win on your whick, so it is not to bad an opinion but it should tell you its installing updates on the peak, it may be somthing to do with that, merely a guess - more information is needed - and you PC really needs to be properly tested previously I could say its one entity - virus could be an factor as well.

Even though you delete all that stuff it stays on your computer until you neglected the recycling bin.
Also seize the free trial of Ashampoo Winoptimizer and use it to clean out your registry and adjectives of you redundant files. You really only stipulation to run it once or twice then you can uninstall it.

Only my D drive is nominated on a regular boot up, but if I do a restart, then both the D and the E drive show up? D drive is a dvd burner, E drive is a disc burner. I've checked properties settings and can't find a setting to start the E drive on a regular start up. Whats up?

Why does my dvd writer not write to these discs?
My dvd writer code is: NEC DVD RW ND-2510A (if that helps)
I enjoy had it for a few years, and it have never had a problem, until very soon. I bought some new dvd's which do not work on my burner. I enjoy tested the new dvds on a couple other pcs and a mac and they worked fine. But for some rationale my dvd writer will not write to these discs, but it does still write to my regular discs, just not these latest ones.
The new discs are by a company call CMC, they are 16x -r dvds.
Please someone help me as im going crazy trying to solve the problem.

Why does my CPU max out during simple tasks?
I started playing a winter sport that supported my pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor. The specs on the game say it requires 500 MHz to play. When I start up the game it sucks up 99% of my processor and act as if it is only getting a fourth of what it requests. Any idea what I stipulation to do to correct this? It does this with most of my games in a minute. I am running XP SP2 with everything updated via Microsoft update.

beep is the computers way of chitchat to you when it can't........look up the motherboard manual, usually the number of beep will tell you whats wrong, such as graphics card or memory, that sort of stuff.......interested it up, take a look, wiggle the connection to see if that help, or you'll just own to replace it.

Why does my computer system become slow after i correct the mobile on the motherboard?
i am currently using a pentium 4, 2.4GHz processor, 256 DDR SD push, and recently only just changed the battery on the motherboard. Immediately after i changed the battery-operated, when i start my system, the boot up became hugely very slow.. it become 5 times slower than normal. I own also checked my bios settings and they are fine. Does anyone knows what happen to my system? please advise. gratefulness

They are very soon at default settings, and unless you can find the resourceful settings you could try looking for a quick boot cubicle, also setting the hard drive as first boot, and an optimised settings wedge. What I would do is right click on the desktop, click Properties > Screen Saver. Then click the Power button. Check to see what the settings are. Adjust adjectives the settings so it does not turn off, hibernate or standby. The other item I would do after this is run updated anti virus software and also use an optimizer. I use CCleaner. I dont know why but even after and hour its till booting something, I got to odd job manager and it say's my explorer.exe is human being used more than it should be...the thing is why? Before you go buying anything or panic go to the Microsoft Website & carry your updates. They recently changed several programs. This cause glitches. Windows has several updates as powerfully. After you get adjectives your updates, do a reconfig on your hard drive. This make your computer reorganize the files & programs to help it work faster & more proficiently. If you still have the problem after adjectives that - then stir to the next step. You should update & reconfig even if you weren't have an issue so it doesn't hurt.

There are oodles reasons why your audible range an alarm. I'm guessing it's a beeping din. ( Right ? ) Your motherboard is built with come to nothing safe detection. If the processor get to hot it will shut down. If the power supply voltage is not right it will shut down. If the Ram is bad it can start beep and cause you to shut it down. I find it knotty to believe a Virus can cause alarms to step off. A virus can corrupt an operating system and rock-hard drive and the result would be your operating system would act funny or not boot up at adjectives.
From what your saying I would guess your problem is not a software but a hardware problem. Motherboard - Ram - Processor.. Something is not right and is cause the alarm.. Beeping.. I built a system using an Intel Desktop Board D955XCS and an Intel Pentium 4 640 Prescott 3.2GHz processor, and loaded Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 OEM. The system, sitting vacant in Windows, crashes after 3 days - three long beep like a doomed to failure POST code, the screen go dark, and the system can single be reset with a frozen power-cycle. Does this sound similar to the motherboard may be bad? Or the CPU? We are using the CPU fan/heatsink that come with the chip.

Everytime i play any sympathetic of audio or video (more specifically with audio) my computer crashes! Its a selfmade computer beside an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ CPU, 2gb of memory, and 74 gb 10,000 rpm hard drive.
The computer hasnt be running correctly ever since the power went out in the future and obviously my computer shut down. When i booted it up again, it ALWAYS freezes when audio/video plays. I enjoy updated all the drivers for both audio/video and done window update.

Dunno, but it sounds like you have a win2k installation on that 250gig hard drive, and in a minute its booting that up, which is bad. Make sure the jumper on that are set to slave (and the jumpers on your untested hard rive are set to master) and try again.
If your computer is stopped properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

These extra command appear to unlock some drives.Also, some hardware settings can raison d`¨otre the failure, I only can't figure out how to find which is which.
Totally stumped... I own tried so many permutations. I enjoy been working on several hundred computers over the finishing few months, and I need to obtain as much info as possible. Almost all of the PCs are running XP Pro SP2. I really requirement an answer from someone with a network PC world...
Why does defrag Fail?
you might have easier said than done drive problem or you use you computer when you run Dfragment
It may be failing due to the lack of available disk space. Windows XP prefers to own atleast 15% disk space available to properly defrag I believe.
The cause for this could be another program explicitly running simultaneously. Try closing all other programs, and later defragment.
I used to have problems beside defrag. It would get to in the order of 10 percent and stop everytime.
A while back on some request for information site (not this one), someone told me to restart the computer and hit F8 during startup. Then select safe mode. Defrag from near. Well, I tried it and it worked fine.

that happen on my pc, it medium you need to upgrade your card. if your on a tight budget step get the ATI or nVidia graphics cards @ Wal*Mart for $50, it help alot
you can try to reinstall the game...but first update you video card drivers and, manufacture sure that your comp. can Handel the changed video settings...make sure nearby not above the limits of you computer

Why does computer restart some times after contact near USB stick/cable?
Hello,
I own a desktop with 2 USB ports at the front side, which is terrifically usefull. But some times, when I touch the USB stick to the USB port, the computer restarts immidiatelly. I suspect that there is some static electric discharge from the stick to the port or vice versa which make the computer to restart. Can you think of what can I do to prevent this from taking place?
Note that this doesn't happen every time.

If the USB ports surrounded by the back do like thing it's probably your power supply - it may not be powerful ample. It may need to be upgraded to bar the additional power requests.

try using the USB port within the back specifically directly connected to your motherboard. this might help.
