Why does my DELL's leisure wispy keep flashing regularly even when I'm not doing anything?

If you own Google Desktop, it could be indexing the machine to sort searches quicker following. This happens beside any machine that have Google Desktop on it.
The computer is doing things as long as it is turned on.



The activity lights are designed to blink whenever the strong drive is accessed. Occasionally, the computer writes things to the intricate drive while its idling, and doing anything it is computers do when their humans are away.



It's nothing to be worried going on for.
Just because you aren't doing anything...doesn't mean that your computer isn't doing anything. A lot of programs run nearly continuously on your system.
If your computer is otherwise acting commonplace (not running real slow and sluggish or giving you pop ups when you're on or offline) it should be fine. The pursuit light habitually flickers even when you're not using the computer mainly because the computer is doing, techie stuff (keeping itself maintain usually). The computer's hard drive, (the source of the movement light) often calibrate itself occasionally to keep within tip top shape. The blinking of the activity night light could also indicate a program doing something in the milieu like Windows recieving and installing automatic updates, an antivirus application updating it's virus database, etc.
Your computer is other doing something when it is turn on, even though you may not be doing anything.
