why dose my laptop switch past its sell-by date?

That's usually cause by a cooling problem. You might need to replace some fan. They're not expensive (about $10 each) and easy to install.

Take the side rotten and make sure adjectives of them are turning. You just might inevitability a couple more because your computer is sitting next to a boil source like a radiator or heat vent.
It is most likely a hardware denounce. Your PC would probably blue screen (crash screen) but you enjoy the setting set to "automatically restart" so your not getting to see the error message on the blue screen.

To revision this setting right click on my computer, go to the advanced tab, after click the startup and recovery - Setting button, inside this tab uncheck the "automatically restart box".

The next time your PC would of restarted, it will probably presently show a blue screen next to an error message.

This error message is the key to finding out the source of the problem

In my experience the most adjectives hardware fault that cause a blue screen\crash is faulty memory. You could try shifting that as a good starting point.

It could be warmness related but not likely if you are experiencing this after 10 mins of use. - Check the fan anyway.
The most common do of this is overheating.

Make sure the fans are running and replace if neccessary.

Clean out adjectives dust and debris from the fan and processor ( carefully ) and engender sure the heat sink is fully attached to the cpu.

It may be the cpu is failing and requirements replacing .

Good luck
