Why does Call of Duty 2 stutter/lag so much on my computer?

close to it lags in single player and multiplayer, necessarily its slow,

i have an amd athlon x2 3800+ processor and geforce 6100 , 1 gb push

Video card. You need to upgrade that video card to obtain good ceremony in that hobby, the GeForce 6100 is horrible for gaming.
its not the video card. i have telephone call of duty 2. It has to do next to the Direct X. Open up call of duty2 within singleplayer and go to option... then i believe the graphics part should be something that says "Direct X" within are 3 options, at hand is 7.0 9.0 and auto.. you want to change it to 7.0 and it will run smoothly.. your video card is right enough.
u stipulation to install a different type of video player/game player (same thing) that is what i did...............

Try lowering some settings, or upgrade to a 7 or 8 series.
