Increasingly my PC reboots itself back it gets to the crucial screen and take a couple of times to start up then appears to work generally. After a couople of hours working normally it suddenly shuts down lacking any warning consequently reboots itself losing any work that hasn't been save manually during any work being carried out.
Why does my PC start, close consequently start again next close down after a while afterwards start up again?

Get a fitting anti-virus scan ur PC the if that doesn't help install a alien copy of windows
That sounds close to the major virus going around; exactly what it make your computer do.
If you don't have a apposite protection service (Like McAfee) get one urgently and/or contact Microsoft and get a patch for it.
I conjecture McAfee can erradicate for you. So far, I haven't gotten it and have McAfee. Full Service.
