Why is it that my computer be so cheap?

My dell computer have a Pentium 4 processor 3.20GHz, 4G of DDR2 RAM, 260GB Harddrive, 20 in moniter (8ms) and an Nvida 7950Gt(512mb) for 1600 while within are "gaming pcs" with smaller amount RAM, same Harddrive, smaller or no moniter, and an older graphics card for around 2500.

Why is it that my computer be so cheap?

How much be your computer?

If you thought it was cheap, the simply weakness I can find is that you don't enjoy a dual core, which is the biggest thing you'll own to worry around upgrading with that computer that I can see. Is here any drives included with that computer? What in the order of ports?

did it come with anything besides the tower?

Does it own a free upgrade to Vista? That could be something else that lowers the price of computers being sold now.
Because it's a Dell
They are Dual Core technology so 2X processers, and 2X the amount of Ram.
If you bought it recently, it's because adjectives the pc manufacturer are trying to unload all the Windows XP models terribly cheap because the new operating system, Vista, will be contained by all the trial pcs on Jan. 30, and XP will be as obsolete for gamers as Windows 98 be when XP came out.
I agree near the other posts. THe aging P4, the RAM (likely speed), and Vista's upcoming release are major factor in the price. Unless you are an authentic hard core gamer or surrounded by to major audio/video production, this should be a wearing clothes setup.

Another factor not really mentioned is that PC manufacturers enjoy faced a sharp decline surrounded by sales for the ultimate couple of years and have started a price time of war. HP and Dell are especially embattled with respectively other.
