any 7900 is more powerful than a 1600 or 1650 unless you are using crossfire. and 256mb of ddr3 is better than 512 ddr2, there a big difference contained by the speed so the extra ddr2 doesn't really help.

Go with any one of the DDR3 from Nvidia why not go for the 7950 GT it's a bit more expensive but not that much and it's SLI in place too

First bad, anyone who said simply, one has more memory it is better, know nothing nearly graphics cards and should not even be answering questions on them. Amount of memory is around fifth on the index of importance surrounded by features. The two 7900 models are the best, and they are pretty much equal to each other, so stir with whichever is cheaper.

Now There is another substitute as well, the Radeon X1950 Pro is around the $139 US fault (the price of some of those others). In the above chart, you can see the x1950 pro stomps them all.
