why are frequent short breaks better than a reduced amount of long ones when working within front of a PC?
It have to do with repeating one and the same action or posture constantly.
A massively short break relieves the short-term strain caused. Spending longer that isn't important, since the strain is already relieved.
You can't "catch up". It has to do next to your muscles, and they only want a short time doing something else to relieve the strain to the few you've be using for an hour or two straight ;)
Fewer long breaks will mean longer stretches spent at the computer than frequent short breaks.
Let us enunciate, you take 10 short breaks of 2 minute respectively in a spell of 8 hours. That will give you and average working stretch of ~ 45 minutes.
On the other mitt you take 2 long breaks of 10 minutes respectively. Your average stretch will be ~ two and a half hours.
The same aim eating little portions more repeatedly is better than eating significant portions less regularly. It's easier for our bodies to handle.
It ends up making it easier on your eyes, and easily, your brain. Less eye strain, and less headache.
If you sit in front of the PC for 4-5 hours and afterwards have a 30 minute break influence, it's going to put your body under more stress than if you be to have 10 or 15 minutes every 1-2 hours. Your eyes acquire to readjust to and relax on normal surfaces and lighting.
