Whuch processor is better?

AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 Dual-Core 5600+ or intel core 2 duo 2.4 ghz

Whuch processor is better?

DUN LISTEN TO THHEES PPL.. CORE 2 DUO ROCKS. AMD HAS BEEN LEFT BEHIND BY THE NEW C2Ds i hold checked hundernds or bench marks. and i am getting a QX6700 intel Quad processor and not the AMD QUAD FX as AMD EATS up power and heat up... and is less effecint compared to the unknown intels.
For most things, the AMD. The E6600 wins sometimes.

as expected, AMD is better than Intel. AMD 2.2Ghz = Intel 3.2Ghz
Core2duo 2.4 GHz all the mode.
As a general rule, I would recommend the AMD if you are into Gaming and the Intel CPU for serious computer use contained by business, servers and similar.

Call me biased, but I have found the Intel chips are more stable and run cooler - to me i.e. important.
You can seize the good adjectives comparisons here:

All the Best
i would choose the amd
I have the e6600 myself, no process I would go to an AMD.
Core 2 Duo!
The 5600+ is vitally the FX-62 under a different entitle, and with a locked multiplier. When the 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo come out, it beat the FX-62 technically consistently, adn was $330 compared to $600 for the FX-62. However, the 5600+ is in a minute $190 compared to about $310 for the Core 2 Duo. So the Core 2 Duo is better as far as pure running, but on a budget the 5600+ might end up individual the better deal. However if you dawdle about a month, the price of that picky Core 2 Duo will drop to about $225, and consequently it will clearly be the better choice.
